Creature Exploration

character exploration

The project required us to create a series of visual explorations around a mythological creature, exploring key traits, such as temperament, physical characteristics, national significance, reputation, etc. The main requirement was to use various methods:
Traditional dry media (charcoal, graphite, etc.)
Traditional wet media (watercolor, paint, etc.)
Vector A (minimal and/or abstract)
Vector B (detailed and/or dimensional)
Mixed Media A (mixing physical, tangible elements)
Mixed Media B (mixing digital elements)
Adapt (use a tool not normally used in image-making)
Build (construct out of any physical elements)
Exaggerate (overemphasize a physical aspect, in any medium)
Fuse (combine with other elements, in any medium)

At the end of the project we had to create a poster for the creature, we had to create a 15x20 poster that  incorporated an engaging headline and used at least 2 of the 10 different renditions created in the process
